Hi All I'm having problems with the Winstars Communicator C2 - SATA + IDE HDD Docking Station which I brough from Maplin yesterday at £39.99 was £49.99. Heres the Problem, trying to get A file off a IDE Hard drive from a Laptop someone gave me using the above Docking Station to get the file and put it on my computer but it does not seem to work for me. Using Wins XP Home and USB port to tranfer it over, can help me and also give advice regarding the above Docking Station before I tak it back to Maplin. Many Thanks David. Many Thanks David Hi the Winstars Communicator C2 does support 2.5/3.5 hard drives but only sata II the ide to sata adpter that comes with it is for 3.5 desktop hard drives only. Download Bone Thugs N Harmony The Art Of War Zippo. The ide is 40 pin for desktops but for laptops it is 44pin ide and another adapter would to be supplied. You can buy laptop ide adapters that plug into the desktop ide 40 pin connector so you can use a laptop drive inside a tower which also has a female molex to plug into male for power. You may be able to use one by plugging into the ide adapter and molex i'd say it would likely work but no garantees.
